New Notes

The town Zeppelinheim is a small rural village. There are some trees, and a stone path, and several buildings. There are two places you can shop in, one on the other side of the moat, and the other is below the giant floating Zeppelin. The few people I did see on this island were wearing the Steampunk Victorian style clothing. I did not have the pleasure of talking to anyone, so I didn't. The buildings were, of course, Victorian style with a touch of Gothic. The gigantic Zeppelin was probably the coolest thing on the island, but I was somewhat disappointed when I tried to enter the cockpit and I couldn't. There are two games I found on the island, Fencing and Shooting Gallery.

1. People - Steampunk Victorian style clothing.
2. Buildings - Victorian / Gothic style.
3. Landscaping - Flat, not much growth. A few trees, and a moat.
4. My Feelings - It's quaint. That's about it. Okay at best, but not really surprised or anything. Maybe it's because I'm used to playing videogames that I expect more.

Wayne's World and Second Life

I had nothing better to do, so I just popped in a movie. Wayne's World. A fricken classic among classics.

Anyhoo, I signed into Second Life today and there were actually people there today. I took a picture of one of them.

I personally can't wait to go to other towns and interview people. Just watching and waiting is kind of boring. Here are some more pics.

I wonder if they use flintlock pistols or more modern rifles. Here's another picture of the Zeppelin.

Close up of the cockpit.

Face Melter

I've always enjoyed a good anime, and lately, I've been enjoying good anime-redubs called the Abridged series. DBZ and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure are definitely the best ones. And thanks to JJBA Abridged, I found a band, called Lost Horizon. A supremely badass metal band, and one of the most amazing vocal screams of all time. Well, without further adieu here is the video of the song. Highlander by Lost Horizon.

Oh, and here is the face melter.

Heavy Metal Mondays

Oh look, its another post on an unread blog. I guess I'm talking to myself here. So, first and foremost, Herr Mannelig by Haggard is pretty awesome. I was listening to it on my way back from classes.

Second, great news, the books I bought only cost me a combined total of $200. Much less than what I thought.

Thirdly, there still are no damn people in Zeppelinheim.

Forth, Last of My Kind by Alice in Chains is pretty damn amazing. And thanks to my friend Corey, I always think about Jesus beating up the sellers in the temple while listening to this song. Haha.

Okay

So, basically, since this is my blog, I'm going to make this blog my daily journal. Or at least I'll try to post once a day or something along those lines.

I wake up this morning, at 5:55. Yeah, that is bullcrap. My parents were playing some stupid music video about pants being on the floor. I proceeded to interrupt and crab dance / hammertime mock them and the video. Good start for having less than 5 hours of sleep.

My intention was wake up at 6:30, get myself ready, and drive to Ithaca so I could attend classes. Well, guess what? I start driving, I'm on my way. I take a turn and hit the gas, and my car just stops. It died. So I could either simply attempt to make it to Ithaca, or I could just stay in Auburn. I stayed. Fan-fricken-tastic. I had to miss classes on my first week of damn college. So I'm kinda pissed about that. Oh well.

So anyhoo, on to class related stuff. Just because I wasn't able to attend one of my classes didn't stop me from attending one of my classes. I got on second life, and was told a series of events and such I had to do.

So, in the image above, you can see the island / town of ZeppelinHeim, and me, Zalachai Silversmith. So, first off, there was only one person on at the time of this picture, and that was me. So I walked around ZeppelinHeim, and took some more pictures.

As you can see, this is a rural / residential area. Classic 1800's kind of feel.

It's actually kind of a place I wouldn't mind living in. But it was completely empty. I wanted to observe people, but no one was there.

I wanted to try dueling too...but no one was on. I'll have to try back later.

Kinda hard to see at night, but that there is the Zeppelin for which the town / island is named for.

And this here is an overhead view of part of the island. The castle-esque building is by far my favorite one. Towers on houses are awesome.

So that concludes our broadcast view of Zeppelheim for now. Hopefully when I return later, there will actually be people on the island.

And hot damn, this is a long-ass post.

Thoughts on Second Life

Well, I've always been a gamer. So playing Second Life isn't too weird or different for me. I play MMO's from time to time, usually MMORPG. Once I've figured out how to move and work the system, I set forward to dominate. Once while I was playing Ragnarok Online, I created a character, a gunslinger, and joined the all-gunslinger guild. I got promoted to Team Healer because I always carried more than enough revive items and healing potions. But enough of that.

Second Life is somewhat different because it is not an RPG. Because of this, it is more like a world-simulator, which isn't too bad, but I've always played more as a loner who fights monsters than as a player who chills in towns and chats to random people.

Welcome

Welcome to my blog. Its a blog. And I blog things. Lots of blogging. Bloggy blog blog blog.
